£52.00

🪴 You will join a group of four and hand build a ceramic bird, 2 hours long, We’ll also explore decorative techniques making some additional small simple test piece birds.

🪴 Held at my riverside studio near Woolwich (Thamesside Studios, https://www.thames-sidestudios.co.uk).

🪴 Enjoy a friendly small group with close tuition in a professional fully equipped studio. You’ll use high grade materials and tools in the studio workspace & we’ll work together to learn the pinch potting, modelling and construction skills suitable for building a bird study.

🪺We’ll also explore different surface decoration techniques with slips (coloured liquid clays) that deliver pattern and texture & create a few 3d clay doodles to test before we add decoration to your main work.

🪴 Price includes the session, all materials & use of tools, & all firing and glazing.

🪴 Collection to be arranged, your work should be ready in around 4 weeks.

🪴 DBS checked & certified, public liability insured.

🪴 My workbench is 90cms high, older and supervised children are welcome but ensure your child is tall enough to work at this height.
This is a stood workshop, let me know if this is difficult, I can set up a seated space if I know in advance and I have a seat you can rest on in either case. The studio has level access and toilet integral. Do let me know at point of booking if you have any additional learner needs.

🪴 Also available to book your own group of up to four on a specific date or for larger groups in a different and very nice space [which I hire & book] at Thamesside Studios, let me know how many you're intending to book for and I can quote & check this availability. Corporate activity / hen do's / special family gathering are all great in this lovely setting.
