I run small classes in my studio and outside locations, firing and glazing and returning work to happy children & adults.
I work flexibly, I can discuss bringing classes to your home, to your work organisation, to your group. I have taught under fives, SEN students, children, teens, adults, over 80's, GCSE students and at university level. I've taught community groups, privately and in schools. I run sessions which animate museum & archive collections, create community and support well-being outcomes. I also teach small business skills / building cost & profit sessions. Finding my studio for classes or appointments:
There are hundreds of studios at Thames-side, SE185NR but mine is easier than many to find! Come through the main barrier and turn right immediately. Follow the car park route up to as far the river, and then alongside the river wall. You'll be turning left into a narrow strip in front of a row of studios facing the car park on the far side, unit 4, studio 42. CALENDAR OF CLASSES TO JOIN
Join small classes for best value in my riverside pottery studio [finding instructions are above] which will never be bigger than 8 people and generally are for four or six. Level access, toilet included, very easy free parking. Classes are generally stood but sat space is bookable for a few in each group. Cafe on site. If you'd like a bespoke booking date or project on anything you see but cannot find a class for then do contact me for a quote on your required class size.
2024
October 13th, Sunday, times vary, £36pp, Slab built dish and mono printed / inlaid decoration, Supermoon. 2 hours, 6 people max. This was a very popular class the first time I ran it and we even had an astronaut visit, do see the pictures on he booking. Prepare for the supermoon of Oct 17th by working with black stone and white slip application whilst considering the connections with reflection, ritual and release of energy. November 1st, 8th, 21st, Seasonal Wreath Table decoration, £32pp Make a stoneware table candle decoration, using natural elements to impress, print & model. More detail and booking here
November 22nd, Friday, after school or evening: Christmas decorations, £14pp. Preserve special drawings on beautiful stoneware decorations which will be kept and hung every year forever, these make amazing gifts & a lovely festive but peaceful social activity. March 29th, Saturday, Modelling with organics, create a Green Man wall plaque. £36pp a soothing session observing and working with an abundance of greenery or natural finds to create the kindly face of The Green Man as a relief plaque wall hanging. Another hugely popular class first held spring 24, with happy feedback on the calming and soothing nature of using clay to create leafy organics. More details and booking here
