Shallow Serving Plate, Mishima Inlay

A large hand built stoneware bowl with inlaid pattern using Mishima technique. This involves carving into a drier surface, flooding stained liquid clay into the grooves and then scraping back to reveal. The dish is fully vitrified (fired to full maturity temperature) ceramic but without glaze- great for food photographs. Use to serve salads, fruit, salads, sausages, bbq - a handy size on your summer table.
