NOVEMBER, enjoy the glow of lights, & prep for seasonal celebrations
Saturday 9th Nov, Royal Arsenal Riverside Market, Artillery Sqaure, Woolwich, SE18 10-3. Makers & food in a lovely space right in historic Woolwich. A lovely winter market: grab a cocktail, fill your bags with fresh bread and produce and find original gifts made by local makers.
Saturday 16th Nov, Plumstead Community Market, 11-3pm. St Marks Hall, Old Mill Road, SE181QE. it may be small but it's mighty. A really lovely indoor market just off the common [dogs welcome] with curated makers, tea and coffee, a relaxed and happy atmosphere, a favourite of mine.
Sat 23rd Nov, Thames-side Studios Christmas Market, 11-4, Thames-side Studios Gallery, Warspite Road, SE185NR
Over 30 studio holders are taking part, look out for original and gifty ceramics, leather work, textiles, prints, jewellery, homewares, stationery and accessories direct from the designer makers. Free and plentiful parking, support small businesses.
Sun 24th, Mycenae House / The Corner @ 96 Christmas shopping, SE7 A high quality and carefully curated market of small business makers and designers, in the beautiful surroundings of Mycenae House, with a most excellent cafe offering. 11-4.
DECEMBER. Greens, naturals, sparkles.
Sunday 1st, Christmas Market, Shrewsbury House, SE18. 11-4 Always a busy & festive event with choirs, festive cafe, raffle, & stalls in multiple rooms.
Saturday 14th, Charlton House Christmas market
Saturday 21st Dec, Royal Observatory Christmas Market, Greenwich Park, SE10 10-4 A highly anticipated festive market in the most beautiful surroundings with free entry to the Observatory all day. If I wasn't trading I'd be going to see the stars myself!
January
Sunday 5th, Makers Market, Severndroog Castle, Castle wood, Shooters Hill, SE18 3RT, 10-3pm. One of my favourite markets sited in quiet woodland. Combine with a beautiful walk, visit to the attractive tea rooms and the most amazing viewing platform, it's a whole day out. Get putside, reconnect with friends after the festive period.
