MARCH Spring gifting / Mother's Day / Easter

Sunday 3rd March, Makers Market, Severndroog Castle, Castle wood, Shooters Hill, SE18 3RT, 10-3pm. One of my favourite markets sited in quiet woodland. Combine with a beautiful walk, visit to the attractive tea rooms and the most amazing viewing platform, it's a whole day out.

Saturday 9th March, Royal Arsenal Farmers Market, Artillery Square, Woolwich, 10-3pm
Whiz here on the excellent buses or on the Elizabeth line, mooch about the historic quarter of Woolwich appreciating the new sensitive use of historic arsenal buildings, pop into the very excellent Woolwich Works arts venue and visit the artisan market in the sheltered courtyard outside where the munitions used to be assembled by 'the canaries' and just round the corner from where Arsenal football club started! Read more about this historic site here.

Saturday 25th May, Artisan Craft Fair, Woolwich Garrison Church, 5 Mill Lane, SE18 6BW, 11-4pm
This is a one off but hopefully may become a regular, this location is simply STUNNING and if you haven't visited this local gem it is well worth a look-in. It's an evocative ruin of the 1860's church built to serve the artillery barracks, hit by a V1 during the blitz. Luckily enough has been preserved of the beautiful glinting gold mosaics and stonework under a modern canopy roof and it provides the focal point of a simply lovely walled garden space. Come and discover this special space.
