A two hour session, in my studio at Thames-side Studios, SE185NR with bespoke teaching of modeling & relief techniques to best replicate your house!

Learn how to cut and build and create relief modelling in clay on a tile to reveal your own house. Roll, model, carve and press, add tiny details, use the most exciting extrusion tool for hedges, garden, gables, barge boards and roof tops. Get totally immersed in this stress busting & relaxing activity and create something to stand on a shelf or hang on the wall.

Ideal for adults or children in your group up to 4. I am experienced at teaching children of all ages but please book a place alongside your under eight to offer additional assistance.

Before you arrive:
🏺Send me a picture of your house front so I can look for helpful tools before you arrive. You may like to bring in your drawings or photos to work from. Start thinking through the elements you'd like to concentrate on.

On the day:
🏺 I am nearby to the Thames Barrier. There is level access and a toilet in my studio.

🏺Introduction to your tools and the materials

🏺Demo of rolling & cutting, joining and the elements of relief work.

🏺I'll assist you with your making, finding the right tools for the right parts of the modelling.

Glazing & firing:
🏺I will fire once then add a neutral glaze and fire again to glaze temperature, creating your finished tile either as is or with holes for hanging.

🏺you will collect your finished work from me [SE7] approx four weeks later.

I am fully DBS checked and experienced at working with all ages including children, also SEN students and adults. I am very happy to discuss particular requirements before the class so do contact me.

Cost includes the class, all materials including glaze and two firings.

There is good parking, helpful bus routes and a nice cafe at Thamesside.
