Clay by post with two on- line lessons.
-Your clay sent in the post, [p&p included]
-a sheet of instructions on what you need to gather from around the house to create your work space and tools.
-2 x 30 minute one-to-one on-line tuition sessions.
HOW IT WORKS:
I will post you 750g of clay. [That's about what fits into a take away carton. It'll come well wrapped but without a carton as they don't fit in the postbox near me!]
I'll then email you a sheet of what you need to gather up from around the house, it'll be simple stuff that everyone will have at home, eg tea towels, wine bottle, dvd boxes etc. We'll arrange by email on a time for first 30mins session which will be delivered via Zoom ( very easy to use) & I'll plan a lesson for you..
I'll be at my kitchen table, where will you be?! It doesn't matter, as long as you have a table top and somewhere to watch me on a laptop / iPad. I'll demonstrate, watch, encourage and suggest help as you go. Please set yourself up so I can see your hands.
I'll follow up with a sheet on what we've learned so that you can go over the notes and have another go, and then we'll arrange the second session. I’d love to see pictures of your work, please do send them to me. You have clay care instructions so you can then scrunch it back up, ready for your next project.
If you’d like to share the lessons and buy additional clay, see the drop down options.
You'll also get instructions on how to keep your clay and how to reclaim it [turn dry back into wet] for further projects.
NB: This is studio clay which is normally fired at 1260C. At my usual sessions I take the finished work away and fire it. But for these special on-line tutorials this won't be possible even for locals I'm afraid, I can't risk clay going into my kiln that may have been spoiled with air pockets or possible debris stuck inside. BUT when this is all over, you may like to book one of my local classes where I WILL fire your work and return it.
